Overview
My passion for Star Wars and 3D printing has inspired me to create a diorama of the iconic trench run scene from the original Star Wars movie. This piece aims to capture the excitement and tension of the pivotal moment when Luke Skywalker and his Rebel allies attempt to destroy the Death Star. Using 3D printing technology, I intend to bring this scene to life in intricate detail. The diorama features a scaled-down version of the trench, complete with laser towers, control panels, and the looming Death Star in the background.
3D Modelling Process
All models were originally created in Rhino, then sliced into several printable sections using Creality software for fabrication.
Fabrication
After printing, all the models were primed and put together. Because of the size, some parts ended up warping and had to be reprinted.
